Summer Prevention Tips !
The rising temperatures during the summer make it a perfect time to enjoy the outdoors with friends and family. However, you should keep these safety tips in mind so you can focus on having fun.
Pool
Security systems must meet the requirements of the Association Française de Normalisation (AFNOR), the French standards body.
Check with your insurance company to see if you may need additional liability coverage and to cover the pool itself in the event of storms or damage.
Educate your family and your children on what to do in case of an emergency when they are swimming with their friends. Never leave small children unsupervised.
Fireworks
Read and follow the manufacturer’s instructions when using fireworks, and keep them away from children at all times.
Heat and Sun Safety
Protect your skin by applying sunscreen regularly, and by wearing a hat and sunglasses with UV protection
Insect Bites and Allergies
Use water-proof insect repellants and wear long sleeve clothing to prevent insect bites. Don’t use scented soaps, perfumes or hair sprays on your child.
Staying Hydrated
Keep in mind that exposure to the sun makes it easy to get dehydrated. Make sure to drink some water regularly, even if you aren’t thirsty.
